Christine Brown’s Daughter Announces Pregnancy On Local News

The “Sister Wives” star’s oldest daughter, Aspyn Thompson, recently announced her pregnancy on local TV. This marks big news for the entertainer as it is her first child with her husband Mitch Thompson.

Christine Brown welcomed six wonderful children during her relationship with Kody Brown. The former couple were blessed with five daughters and one son, with their second daughter, Mykelti Padron, making them grandparents twice.

Aspyn revealed she will join her younger sister, Mykelti, in motherhood during an appearance on Fox 13. As the manager for the Kendra Scott store at the City Creek Center in Salt Lake City, Aspyn participated in the local news network’s Mother’s Day-themed shopping segment.

The live broadcast captured Christine’s oldest daughter looking radiant in a blue-and-white printed sundress while cradling her baby bump. When the reporter noted how fantastic it was that Aspyn had her “first little one on the way,” the soon-to-be mom grinned and mouthed, “I know!”

It is unclear when Aspyn realized she would be a mom as she and her “Sister Wives” family kept the news under wraps. Kody previously lamented about having an estranged relationship with his daughter over his tumultuous bond with Christine on their TLC show, per PEOPLE.

During the April 27 episode, Kody alleged he and Aspyn had discussed their relationship at length following a misunderstanding about his feelings. “Aspyn literally asked why I didn’t like her. I’m like, ‘Sweetheart, I love you, and I have, always have, and always will,'” the father of 18 recalled.

Kody implied Christine was to blame for the misunderstanding, adding, “Aspyn and I had a long discussion about us having a relationship not filtered through my view of her mother or her mother’s view of me.”

He noted he would try to maintain a good relationship with his older children regardless of his issues with their moms. However, in the same episode, Christine refuted his claims, stressing: “I don’t talk trash on Kody to my kids ever.”

She was one of the entertainer’s four wives and the first of three to leave the polygamous union. Following her exit, Janelle and Meri Brown also left, leaving Robyn Brown as Kody’s only remaining wife.

Christine became Kody’s third wife through “spiritual marriage” in 1994, and they spent over two decades together before splitting in November 2021. During their time together, the former couple welcomed six children: five daughters and one son.

The oldest of their brood, Aspyn, was born a year after their spiritual union on March 14, 1995. She reportedly graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, with a degree in marriage and family therapy/counseling.

Aspyn currently works as a store manager for Kendra Scott in Salt Lake City, and volunteers for Autism Speaks and the Alzheimer’s Association. Christine and Kody’s second daughter, Mykelti, was born on June 9, 1996.

She attended the College of Southern Nevada, per PEOPLE, and married her husband, Antonio Padron, in 2016. The couple made Christine and Kody grandparents for the first time in April 2021 when they welcomed their daughter, Avalon Asa.

The former couple became grandparents for the second time with the arrival of Mykelti and Antonio’s twin sons, Archer Banks and Ace McCord. Christine and Kody’s third child and only son, Paedon, was born two years after their second daughter.

He leads a more private life than his sisters, with Christine revealing he joined the National Guard in January 2019.

Christine and Kody’s fourth child is a daughter named Gwendlyn, born October 15, 2001. She identifies as bisexual and married Beatriz Queiroz in July 2023. During a confessional on her family’s TLC series, Gwendlyn addressed her sexual preferences, saying:

“I’m not only attracted to women. I’m also attracted to men and people who fall into other gender spectrums.”

Two years after Gwendlyn’s birth, Christine and Kody welcomed their daughter Ysabel on March 7, 2003. She underwent surgery to correct her scoliosis in September 2020, a significant event that became a point of contention in her parents’ marriage.

At the time, Kody refused to travel to support Ysabel because of the pandemic despite Christine and his daughter wanting him there.
